Monopoly

Reading that Zaki had much fun with Monopoly while he had a broken arm, I decided to play my old Monopoly game (game platform: Nintendo DS, since I'm an only child, all alone at home, no one to talk to, I play a virtual one [no cheatcodes]). I played with the rules where the properties were dealt out at the start, so everyone has an equal share (that means instant sucess). I always buy and sell my properties, like if he has one blue (I always want blue), and he needs a red for example, I wait till he is rich as hell, and then trade him my red for his blue and most of his money, then start building hotels on blue. I repeat the same thing with my next favourite, green, then yellow(if I can have those), Making one whole 'Street' full of MY HOTELS! I trashed everyone =)

Boredom; 1D

Today, we still played chess and Risk. 'Domination is one thing, conquest is another', Zaki. After school, i had choir practice. I'm unsure if im in 'Torture Club' or choir. We learned a new song 'Pokpok Alimpako' (what the krap is that?). I spent about three hours listening and reciting gibbrish. We were dismissed at 6pm. By the time I got home, I was so exhausted, I nearly slept, but not before writing this. So now, good night (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz).

Pokemon Diamond/ Pearl (Something Depressing)

Well, here's something depressing about the Diamond/ Pearl Version (depressing to me at least. Other people do not care). The very first versions of these games (the Japanese editions) had glithes that could allow players to catch two Legendary Pokemon (Darkrai and Shaymin, very good Pokemon)which were impossible to catch exept if you attend a promotion event to promote a Pokemon product or movie. What a waste (sulking). I also bought the DS system when it first came out, not knowing about the newer DS Lite (which is slicker and can do more with extras you can purchase). In Japan, they have a very nice jet-black DS Lite with Dialga and Palkia on the cover (jealous). This is not fair! why am I not Japanese or at least living there!

Movie Review: Spiderman 3

The long awaited sequel to Spiderman 2 has come out (2 weeks ago)! The new movie brings to screen a never-seen-before character, New Goblin aka Harry Osborn. Harry had consumed the same green gas that mutated his father into the Green Goblin. The show also features notorious characters like Venom and Sandman. But who should I support? Black Cymbiote Spiderman, wait, Venom, wait, New Goblin, wait, Sandman........ ARGH my brain hurts. they are all so cool! This movie portrays how revenge is not always the solution and how everyone has a choice. Two other lessons are that a son dies the same way the father does and never put blades on your skateboard (Watch movie to understand the joke). Look out for a cameo roll by the creator of Marvel, Stan Lee. Although it has a great storyline, it had a dissapointing anti-climax at the end (poor Harry).

Past Days Happenings (BORING!)

Testing............. Hi! Some problems with my blog (just like Marcus). Nothing much happened in school. Zaki brke his arm. The return of Afshin and his Graffiti cast. I'm actually lame and childish (Did I mention that I was lame?). I still play Pokemon, yes it's true. I bought the Diamond Version for the Nintendo DS and I am now on the way to the Elite Four. Once again, life is boring.

Update On 3 May's Happenings

On top of me getting infected by a trojan, everythings well and school today was cool. In CCP (Creative Communication Programme) today, many laughs were shared. In Clive's group performance, I was left on the floor, rolling in laughter. When Casper came out being 'Harry', that really wrap things up. He sang a 'Happy' song and exposed his hairy armpits (hair formed with cotton wool). After school, my maths group went to the pond and measured the dimensions of it. Jerome and I connected a gummy sweet to the end of a rafia string and went 'fishing'. We tossed the rafia into the water and watch in amazement as tons of fishes came swarming and eating up the sweets. That's everything that happened on 3 May. REJOICE!

My CCA: Choir

For those wondering what is a 'CCA', it is basically a Co-Corriculum Activity. Yes, you may think being in a choir is girly (with the fact that we sing very high at times, it is hard to deny), but I don't think so. I'm in Victoria School in Singapore and it's an all-boys school. Despite that, we have the top choir in Singapore (unofficially voted by other schools) for our education level. Being tops, it's difficult to accept defeat that comes in our way once in a while. Like in the recent SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) which is held every two years, we only manage to clinch a Gold Award (Gold with Honours being the best award), breaking our long winning streak. That proves that an all-boys choir is just as good (maybe even better) as any mixed or all-girl choir. They say in my school that, "VS shall always rise to the occasion". I guess that it did not happen this time though. Well, two years from now, VS Choir promises to deliver. Nil Sine Labore (Nothing Without Labour in Latin).

Movie Review: Wild Hogs

I mentioned in a previous blog that I may start a movie review segment. That 'may' is now a 'will'. The first movie that I will be reviewing is the movie Wild Hogs. It's about four biker friends whom now lead lives either controlled by women, or fearing women. They decide to go on a week-long road trip to get away from the daily hastle of life. They get into trouble along the way, meeting new friends as well as foes. With a comedic cast of Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy, one can expect loads of akward and humorous moments in the show. There is also a special ending whereby the American reality TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition helps a 'needy' family in the show. Expect to laugh out loud in this hilarious movie.

Rated: PG 13
