Just back from CHIJ where an AEP Workshop were held. The four AEP centres of the Secondary level in Singapore came together to create Relief Tiles. I was grouped up with Dexter, a girl from Nanyang, a guy from HCI and two girls from CHIJ, making a group of three boys and girls each (sorry for not remembering names). The five of us(The HCI guy came later on as he was busy) at first just stoned when asked to give ideas to our carvings for 15 damned minutes! Finally, Dexter 'ahem'ed and I started giving krappy ideas improved by the girls. So we agreed to create a mosaic comprising a guy who is trapped behind bars looking at the Sidney Opera House, The Great Wall, The Pyramids and the Eiffel Tower, which turned into Mt Krakatoa after Dexter turned it red.
During the break, I mingled with the rest of the Sec1 VS AEP students. Then the Sec2 girl who was supervising my group came out. Ben said she was Chio! WTF (actually quite okay)!
Then, after the second and last break, came the presentation of our tiles. When it was our turn, we all stoned infront of the whole 'group', pushing the microphone to other people. Finally I took it and 'presented our presentation'. Tze Yang's group was quite funny! They made the windows of an aeroplane crashing. "In the front, there's a pilot in a cockpit, quite screwed up lah," Tze Yang. Hidden meaning!
Overall it was a fun day, mixing with other art geniouses (LOL).
