Stuffage 2

Another video of RDJ. Did you know he could sing?!

Stuffage

Yes! June holidays starts today! Dang happy! LK came my house today to play MKWii today and I trashed him.... uh dun tell him I said that =X

Below is a video of Gladys Knight (old popular singer) singing with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr (acted as Tony Stark/Iron Man) as backup singers doing hilarious things! It was shown on the results show of the finale of American Idol in which David Cook won.

Anyways, I fell in love with Daniel Simon's works featured on the web and in his book, 'Cosmic Motors'. He flawlessly constructs his own fantasy vehicle designs and renders them in 3D. My favourite vehicle created by Daniel Simon has to be the IceTrain with its mean look. Click the link to see the page and buy his book for his conceptual drawings and sketches.

RS Stats

So I have been 'chionging' most of my low stats in RuneScape and as you can see from the picture below, I managed to raise my Magic and Ranged up to quite a nice level for a hybrid character.

I am currently aiming for 40 Ranged to be able to wear Green D'hide and Prayer up to48 to be able to use the 'Protect From' prayers. Good luck to me.

GTA Man

I gotta be honest with you George, I-Am-Iron Man.

Iron Man rocks! Although a week has passed since I watched the movie, I still feel the Iron Man craze!

"You're not a soldier"
"Damn right I'm not, I'm an ARMY!"

With "boots of lead, fills his victims full of dread", he is seriously the coolest superhero in the world (although technically not super-powered but mechanically-powered), he bests any known superhero as my most favourite (along with Batman, New Goblin and Wolverine).

Got myself two Iron Man wallpapers for my desktop from the internet:

Not letting you have the original wallpapers =P Ask me personally for them if you know me personally, and I'll see if I'll give it to you. You can always find them around the net anyways.

"Hmm the Iron Man? Kinda catchy, though technically it's a gold-titanium alloy..."

Can't wait for a speculated Iron Man 2 and 3 (War Machine is said to be in 3)!

MLN

Hundredth post long overdue...

So anyways got busy this exam season with a My Lego Network page (MLN). For crazed fanatics of the Lego website, this shouldn't be new as Beta testing ended in January and was launched soon after, so I'm quite slow.

For those who don't know, it's a new Lego Club system (replacing he older, less interactive Lego Club pages) of getting to know other crazed Lego fanatics through making Lego personal pages and increasing your level through different tasks on the Netowrk.

So anyone who plays, feel free to drop by and click on my modules.

Stuffzz

Walao eh, seriously sian of blogging (dunno why). I had two camps this March holidays; a Malay camp and choir camp. So I finally pursued one of my father's old hobbies as my own - building plastic model replicas of cars or any other vehicles (I do cars, my dad does WWII fighter planes). Completed a Lamborghini Countach model by Tamiya which did not turn out as I expected at all. The spray-paintjob was screwed up by newspapers and manual brush-on acryllic paint for plastics and the model had many design flaws by Tamiya.

I decided to redo an older post on the song quiz ripped off Alif's blog. This time I'm using songs by LP and FM ONLY!

Answer the questions by using the songs which come out randomly from your music player (must be random).

1. How does the world see me?
Opening; Reanimation by Linkin Park
(Sounds wrong!)

2. Will I have a happy life?
One Step Closer (Shanghai Live 07); LP official download by Linkin Park
(Takes me one step closer to the edge, and I'm about to break!)

3. What do people really think of me?
Be Somebody; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(I gotta fit in)

4. Do people secretly lust over you?
[Riff Raff]; Reanimation by Linkin Park
(This song is a bloody intro, what's it gotta do with someone liking me?!)

5. How can I make Myself Happy?
Petrified; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(I got a friction addiction I wish you would)

6. What should I do with my life?
Red To Black; The Rising Tied by Fornt Minor
(Trying to get away, let the pain of yesterday, go slipping through the cracks)

7. Will I have children?
Big Pimpin'/Papercut; Collision Course by Linkin Park & Jay-Z
(-See quoted lyrics of song at bottom of post-)

8. What is some good advice for me?
Pushing Me Away; Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
(Why I never walked away, why I played myself this way, now I see your testing me, pushes me away)

9. What do I think my current theme song is?
Foreward; Meteora by Linkin Park
(Again, another bloody intro!)

10. What does everyone else think my theme song is?
Where'd You Go; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(Quite true cause I consider myself more of an anti-social loner)

11. What song will be played during my funeral?
Slip Out The Back; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(I slipped out of your lives)

12. What is my day going to be like?
Points Of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer; Collision Course by Linkin Park & Jay-Z
(I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one!)

13. Why am I here?
Points Of Authority; Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
(I wanna share what I've been through!)

14. What will people remember me for?
Figure.09; Meteora by Linkin Park
(I'll always be right here, I'll always be their fear!)

15. What song will I get stuck in my head tomorrow?
Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You
(If you feelin like a pimp nigga, go and brush your shoulders off)

16. Are there people waiting to get me one day?
Introduction; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(WHAT?!)

17. What will this year be all about?
Papercut (Shanghai Live 07); LP official download by Linkin Park
(It's like I'm paranoid!)

18. If I reach the top of Mount Everest I would scream:
Wake; Minutes To Midnight by Linkin Park
(Is this a dream?!)

19. The next time I stand in front of a group of people, I would say:
Jigga What/Faint; Collision Course by Linkin Park & Fort Minor
(Wazzup?!)

20. My message to the world:
From The Inside; Meteora by Linkin Park
(Everyone feels so far away from me)

21. My deepest secret:
X-Ecutioner Style; Reanimation by Linkin Park
(Sounds like a sex position)

22. My inner-most desire:
Get Me Gone; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(Gotta... Kill... Myself...)

23. My oldest memory makes me think:
There They Go; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(My memories went away...)

24. Somwhere in my wedding vows, I'll include:
NTR/mssion; Reanimation by Linkin Park
(Would make nice background music)

25. When I wake up in the morning, I'll mutter:
Kenji; The Rising Tied by Fort Minor
(WWII)

26. Right now, my feelings are:
1stp Klosr; Reanimation by Linkin Park
(-Same comment as entry no.2-)

27. The day I fall in love will be the day that:
P5hng Me A*wy; Reanimation by Linkin Park
(... I reject her?)

28. My farewell message to the readers of this:
In The End; Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
(It is the end after all)

Quote for ques.7

You know I - thug em, fuck em, love em, leave em
Cause I don't fuckin need em
Take em out the hood, keep em lookin good
But I don't fuckin feed em
First time they fuss I'm breezin
Talkin bout, "What's the reasons?"
I'm a pimp in every sense of the word, bitch
Better trust than believe em
In the cut where I keep em
til I need a nut, til I need to beat the guts
Then it's, beep beep and I'm pickin em up
Let em play with the dick in the truck
Many chicks wanna put Jigga fist in cuffs
Divorce him and split his bucks
Just because you got good head, I'ma break bread
so you can be livin it up? Shit I..
parts with nothin, y'all be frontin
Me give my heart to a woman?
Not for nothin, never happen
I'll be forever mackin
Heart cold as assassins, I got no passion
I got no patience
And I hate waitin..
Hoe get yo' ass in

And let's RI-I-I-I-I-IDE.. check em out now
RI-I-I-I-I-IDE, yeah
And let's RI-I-I-I-I-IDE.. check em out now
RI-I-I-I-I-IDE, yeah

Warning: The following link is to a picture of something terrifyingly frightening, far worse than Satan himself. Please proceed at your own risk. CNY Eve

So, being the eve of the Lunar New Year, VS had its celebrations with many interesting acts. We also had the Talent Quest thingie today. All of them sang songs, some were great whilst others were..... you know. There was also a skit put up by the CLDDS. We could hardly hear a thing and it was in Chinese...... so, some parts I could not catch well. Some pupils of VJC also sang some songs (we all dao) and also a dance thing by KC.

After all the celebrations, I went back to Temasek to meet up with Winston. Daniel and Joshua could not make it. But to our horror, the school was not 'open'! So none of us managed to pay our teachers a visit (Robin was there). So, we then decided to part and go home.

An unfruitful day.

Pump!

So, I had another session of choir today. Went through 'Kometsuki Madara' (sounds like 'commit murder') and 'Salve Regina'. The Sec 1s were also thought 'Ondeh-Ondeh' and I too learnt the new Tenor parts.

Now on to after all the singing was done. Robin asked all the late-comers and all those without files, waterbottles and a pencil/pen to stand for punishment. So, knowing me, I hardly ever bring a waterbottle anywhere. So, I stood up, and got 20 pumping (20 only!). But that was not the shocking part. I somehow found it easier to pump (did it with ease!) and my arms were not even aching. Whats more, I think I'm beginning to enjoy pumping!

Bored and Stuffs

So... I'm bored out of my wits... started playing YuGiOh GX Tag-Force for PSP again, for fun. Manage to create a replacement joystick for it (lost my old one in Pattaya) by using the joystick rubber cover (it is supposed to wrap around the joystick) and filling it up with a mixture of super glue and PVA to harden the inside and then used the super strong double-sided tape thingy to secure it to the PSP. Works fine so far. Got to test it out with Star Wars Battlefront II first.

Anyway, in Tag-Force, I already created 7 mean decks (trash Zane!!!) and playing for fun until tournament day in Chapter 1 (yes I'm slow). Trying to make a continuous spell and trap deck to include Uria and Hamon (when I get them).

Darth Vader With An iPod

2008 Commonwealth Essay

“Now, when I was your age,” I smiled, hoisting my grandson onto my lap, “we had a planet to call home”. “We had?” my grandson asked, exited about the new piece of news I had just blurted. “Yes, and a wonderful one at that,” I added. “What happened, grandpa?” I paused, my mind wandered on. The vivid memories of past days began to flood before my eyes, every detail crisp.

I was transported back to the events of April 17th 2030, commonly referred to as the day of reckoning, the end of Earth itself. The efforts of environmentalists like Al Gore were all in vain. No one could stop the inevitable. On that fateful day, I woke up to a rattling TV set, the president’s face shone bright. His message rang loud and clear. At that very instant, I jumped out of bed, woke my family up, gathered as much of my precious belongings as I could carry and ran down to my hovercraft. As we jumped in, a huge gorge dug itself beside us, molten lava spewing out. I kicked on the gas and put the peddle to the floor, speeding towards the nearest evacuation centre. My baby was wailing in the back seat of the hovercraft.

A mass of people greeted us. A deafening roar overhead turned our attention towards it. A 100 mega tonne body of metal bursts into the gapping void above. We would soon board one ourselves and take the journey into a new life.

Seated in the belly of the metal behemoth, looking out the window, I saw an army of ants scurrying around down below. When it came time for launch, I clenched onto my wife’s arm as our seats shook violently, as we were hurled up at a booming velocity. I now knew what being cooped up in a sardine tin felt like. As we exited the atmosphere, I looked out once again at the ball of blue mass we once called home. But it wasn’t a blue ball, it was now a flaming red planet shrouded in a thick cloud of grey smoke. An out roar of people crying filled the entire craft as we now headed to our new home, a cluster of space stations laid on the outskirts of the solar system.

I suddenly felt a tucking at my sleeve and was teleported back into reality. My grandson’s face now showed his angry side – he had a short fuse. “What Happened?!” I looked down at him and sighed, “We did”.

Visiting My Grandparents

(CA entry: A moment you enjoyed with your family)

Family ties are very important to my family. That's why we constantly make an effort to visit my grandparents once a week, usually on Saturdays. We would visit both my maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and all relatives who would also drop by. As my father is Malay and my mother Chinese, I get to experience and live in both cultures, broadening my horizon to both cultures.

Festive occasions are a plenty in my neck of the woods. I celebrate both Muslim and Catholic holidays, the most recent ones being Hari Raya Haji and Christmas. These are the best times to gather as a huge family and catch up on happenings in each other's lives.

Only a fraction of my paternal relatives

Maternal grandparents and some distant relatives

The next upcoming celebration is Chinese New Year, where I hope I can snap more pictures (they wouldn't let me before).

AEP Project - Poster Design

(CA1 entry: A difficulty you faced)

Projects have been piling up the past few days, the most urgent and time consuming one being the AEP poster design project and essay. My group, consisting of Li Keen, Hanmo and Marcus, stayed back today to do it in the Media Lab. My group was in a state of panic, trying to combat the time restriction and trying to arrange a date where we can all meet up. So we eventually rushed everything today.

As I had to go to the mosque today for my Friday Prayers, I could only meet up at 2pm. My whole group was there, with the exception of Marcus who had NCC Land training today. Kang Sheng and Tze Yang were also present to do their posters. Thinking that I could start straight away, I dived right into my seat, only to find out that there were many problems with the Mac computers. For one, the Safari internet browser was not loading the webpages properly and there were some errors with Photoshop CS2, the program we were to use to create the posters. My group was halted by all the problems. We started trying to 'troubleshoot' all the possible errors. Finally, after half an hour of clicking through program pages, the internet finally worked... for a while, but long enough for me to get my necessary pictures for the poster design. Photoshop finally worked, with the occasional harmless error messages. My group then started piecing together our posters.

An almost finished poster which I composed (spelling error in poster, woops), one of four in our groups series.

We managed to complete two posters, with one still being edited. The last one would be done on another day.

Amore E Musica

(CA1 entry: A moment you spent alone doing something you enjoyed)

I am a man of many hobbies. My weird hobbies can range from photography to building and programming Lego robots. But one of my most favourite hobbies has to be listening to music!

I love buying albums and completing a collection of albums of any given band. I have recently completed my 'Linkin Park' and 'My Chemical Romance' collections. I feel a sense of satisfaction when I complete a collection of albums.

Just yesterday, I had gone hunting for the final album needed to complete my 'Linkin Park' collection. The album titled 'Fort Minor: The Rising Tied' was very hard to find as it was an old installment and produced in smaller quantities compared to the other albums.

'Fort Minor' is a sub-band set up and featuring 'Mike Shinoda', the rapper for 'Linkin Park' as a plan to let other famous bands like 'Styles of Beyond' collaborate together to write and compose new songs. He also felt that he could not express his hip-hop side fully in 'Linkin Park'.

I had a stroke of luck yesterday at a CD shop in Parkway Parade. I actually did not go there to look for CDs but to actually complete an art assignment for school. We (my friends and I) were tasked with taking pictures of posters. I had gone to the 'Sembawang' music shop to take a picture of a poster pasted up in the shop and accidentally crossed paths with the CD by accident. After purchasing it, I went home and quickly ripped the CD into an MP3 format for my iPod music player. I then spent the rest of the day remembering all the lyrics of the songs.

My next goal is to complete my 'Jay-Z' collection. This will be a hard feat as his oldest album dates back to 1999!

iPod Touch-Abled

As the founder of this blog, I am proud to announce that this blog has been viewed successfully on an iPod Touch over WiFi. Everything on the blog is practically the same except for all widgets which use 'Flash' as the iPod Touch does not have a 'Flash' plug-in. This finding raises the possibilities of this blog viewed on other hand-held devices or on game consoles like the Wii (not tested).

First Day Of Choir In 2008

Notice anything different in the 'About Me' section of the blog? I have just been transferred to Tenor 2 from my previous section, Alto 2. Choir had a re-audition today (along with secondary trails for the Sec 1s), the first time this year that we are having choir practice. My falsetto (the 'girly' singing voice that most people have and don't want to admit) was wavering a lot and thus I had to be transferred. Jun Chong (JC) who was also from Alto 2, was also transferred to another section, but Bass 1 instead. We had both previously complained about difficulty singing in falsetto, and finally was transferred to more appropriate sections.

I felt like a Sec 1 again standing in Tenor, not knowing my parts well, nervous to sing out in case I make a mistake. A consolation was at least I was quite close with some of the Tenors and they helped me with some parts. Looking forward to my future in Tenor and hopefully qualify for the competition group performing in the Czech Republic later on in June.

Creating A Blog

Although I created this blog 8 months and 9 days before this post, I can still remember the first time I logged into Blogger. Back then, I had no clue about HTML, but from extensive research and help from my uncles, I have mastered all the basis of HTML.

My first template was a Scribe XML template which came with Blogger. I toggled with HTML and added a nice background which I was very happy with. But the cramp space of a two column blog made everything cramp. I soon found out a way of adding another sidebar, making it a tipple-column blog. But this in turn posed a new problem. As to provide maximum space for widgets and posts, I had to set the blog to be 900 pixels wide, as wide as a regular computer screen. Therefore, the background was hardly visible (on computers using a standard size screen, although still visible on wide screens) and the white blog which was left behind was too plain. I then decided to change to a black Minima triple-column XML template, the current one you see now.

I am very proud of the overall outcome of the blog and its efficient use of space.
