Nintendo Wii

Hey there, last Saturday, I bought a Nintendo Wii for my birthday! It came with a free Spiderman 3 game, Wii Sports and an extra remote.

The Wii uses motion sensors found in the remotes (also known as the Wiimote) as controls, like in Spiderman 3, you can change the direction of the webbing by flicking the remote or in Wii Sports, tennis uses the remote as a racket. You swing it to hit the ball.

Normal; One Sidebar

Sorry Marcus, but I have reverted back to one sidebar. I think I shall change my blog from Scribe to Minima and add another sidebar instead. The Scribe one is not what I wanted it to be.

Emoed The Day Away

Yes, you may see me smiling, cracking cold jokes and laughing the day away, but actually I just wanted to be alone. Recess, see me wandering about. Before choir, see me again wandering about. I just don't know why, but I feel like getting down on my knees and shout like an emo person!

The day started off with me forgetting to complete my Physics and forgetting my 'family photo' that Mr Zabid asked us to bring. For the fourth time in a row, I'm not having proper AEP classes (wah slack!). Then, after school, went to the choir room to put down my bag and emoed the time away.

We had our CCA photo-taking today, so boring, wait so long, our slot delayed for like 40mins. Then, after that, went back to the room. All was peaceful until Robin asked the Sec 4s to leave, then I knew that something was wrong. Then Robin asked the choir to knock-it-down (push-up position). Then, he scolded us for bad behaviour. I emoed my way through pumping (push-up) position. Then, Robin told us to knock-it-down 50, not 20, not 35, 50!!! Again, emoed my way through.

When it was over, I was too lazy to change back, and proceeded to Temasek Primary. There, I caught up with Sherman Yuen (ex-student conductor). Then met some of my old friends. Smiling, but deep down inside, emo. Then met my ex-form teacher, said hi, then left.

Now I'm here, emoing again.

You Only Realise Things Were There When They Are Finally Gone

Yes, its true. There are a lot of things and people I treasure. But people stragely only appreciate things fully when it's gone. This is evident in many cases in my life. Shy to say lol.

Boring Birthday

Today, as you may know, was my birthday. Birthdays are meant to fill someone with joy, but not for me, at least for today.

The day started with me scramming to the choir room during recess for a rehearsal for the upcoming SYF Presentation. We practised Ondeh Ondeh, Noyosa and Pokpok Alimpako till 1230hrs. We sounded like krap during the practise runs. I could sense Syukri, Robin, Malcolm, and Ashwin getting pissed, so i was bracing myself for pumping. Then, Robin and Syukri just shouted at us instead of pumping us. Everyone was in a solemn mood.

At VCH, we warmed up. It was relatively okay, just that the timing for the entry of Ondeh Ondeh was way off. I'm not sure if it was Travis's or the choir's fault. Then, we had a briefing by the organiser, and we 'learnt' (more like follow blindly) some coryography for the finalle song, Kelidascope. Then we performed, not bad, but NJC clearly trashed us. Then, I followd my mother back home.

Presents so far (good and bad):
-Krappy Falsetto since start of Pattaya trip
-Scolding from Robin
-$150 from auntie
-$20 from maid

Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The newest installment in the Harry Potter saga reveals more about Harry's life. His godfather, Sirius Black meets a tragic fate in an all-out battle between the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters, Harry becomes more mature, and corruption hits the Ministry of Magic.

The movie, however, seemed to lack that magical feel that the prequel movies had (most probably because I watched it in Pattaya, and I feel the theatre cropped the pictures too much). There was not much suspense compared to the prequels and again did not reveal who the characters were. You would only know them by watching the previous movies or by reading the book. Quite dissapointing, for a new Harry Potter movie.

Rating: PG 13

AVOS, A Voyage Of Songs

Yo! Just back from my Pattaya trip! How was Victorian Challenge? Anyway, the trip was quite packed, with us preparing for the competition and having fun. On the first day, we stayed at Asia Bangkok Hotel. We were only staying there for one night. We practised singing in the evening, after which, we went to a shopping mall near the hotel called 'Maubukung' (I think thats the way to spell it). Gerald bought a t-shirt wich was a fake of the brand Puma. It had the word 'Tuna' and replacing the puma logo, was a tuna! It was also complete with a 'Tuna' label and had a question-mark for the 'TM'!

From the 12th to the 16th of July, we stayed at 'Ambassedor City Hotel'. That was where the competition was to be held. There was a 'Sports Centre' where we could rent badminton courts, table-tennis tables and pool tables. I played three rounds of pool over the span of my stay. I also met my old friends Kenny and Ruth who were from TKSS choir. On the 14th, was our competition day. We competed in the Category F, Folklore, one of the most competed categories in the whole international competition. We spent a lot of time at night chatting (more like shouting and screaming) and playing the night away after the competition, well, only till 11+pm. On the 15th, we watched TKSS and a few other choirs perform. It was surprising that Ruth was in Alto, when she had quite a high speaking-voice. Then, we went shopping at 'Mike'. There were no decent eating places, so I bought some cup noodles instead. I bought a basketball for 300 Baht, about S$15.

The results for the competition were announced at 5pm Bangkok time (+7 GMT). VS got a Gold C, with 81.3 points! We beat Cat. High! VJC managed to clinch first for two categories, making it to the grand finals, along with TKSS (they won the children category, where only three choirs performed, bullying the other young competitors), one Philipino choir and an Australian choir. The Philipino choir was the overall winner of the Grand Finals.

So, tomorrow going to school. So tired.

PS: To Marcus, the trip was damn fun! Play, shout, play ,shout, tau pok JC and Li Keen, play, shout, talk to old friends, play, shout.....

Move Deleter Finally Deletes!

Last time, with the help of my cousin, I traded my Suicune over to Emerald. It knew Surf then. I was so frustrated that I could not make it forget Surf, even when I went to the Move Deleter, due to the fact that it knew it way before the trade. Now, my cloned Suicune can! Now i'm going to clone a few, then restart my Emerald and FireRed and get repetitive Legendary Pokemon! YAY!!!

Pokemon Emerald Cloning!

I just tried a cloning glitch for my Pokemon Emerald Version, and it works! I sucessfully cloned my Suicune! It has all the same stats and the same held item! Too bad that I migrated all of my precious items and Pokemon to my Pokemon Diamond.

Here is how the glitch works:

Things you must be able to do:
-Go to the Battle Tower in the Battle Frontier
-Have an empty box in the PC

Things to do:
-Go to the Battle Tower (make sure you have the Pokemon you want to clone with you)
-Go to the PC located in the tower and deposit the Pokemon you want to clone into an empty box.
-Save the game
-Withdraw the Pokemon going to be cloned
-Go to the Link Multi Battle Room and talk
-'Enter' the Pokemon going to be cloned and another Pokemon
-At first 'Yes-No' promt to save the game, say 'Yes'
-At next promt to save the game, say 'No'
-After the clerk says 'We hope to see you again...', turn the game off without saving the game.
-Now go to the PC
-You will realise that there are two of the cloned Pokemon of exact 'specifications', one in the box, and one in your party
-Reapeat!

*This cloning glitch cannot be used with Kyogre, Groudon or Rayquaza as they cannot be entered into a Battle Frontier battle.

VJC Performance

Today, I had choir practice at 0900 hrs. The choir seems to be lagging in intensity since I was shifted to the third row. Maybe it is because there is no one behind me, so there is 'less' sound, maybe.

At 1230 hrs, I finally got my rooming list for 'A Voyage Of Songs' at Pattaya. I will be roomies with my senior, Ee Yang in Asia Bangkok Hotel. For Jomtien Hotel, I will be roomies with Ee Yang, Jiahoo and another of my seniors, Clarence. Hope that I can have some fun there!

Then at 1300 hrs, i proceeded to VJC. I decided to walk there. Surprisingly, I managed to beat some choirmates who took the bus! At VJC, we tested how we sounded on stage. At first, we sounded 'empty'. Later on, we listened to a guitar preformance by an Australian school. Not bad, I must say. I wish I had taken up the offer given by my mother when I was three to learn how to play the guitar. Then Tampines JC performed. Wah! Imba! Then TKSS performed. I saw my old friend Kenny lol! Again, imba! Then, our turn, the moment of truth. Ondeh Ondeh, ok so far. Pok Pok, darn lucky! Everyone suddenly in time! Safe! After us, VJC performed, three words, imba, Imba, IMBA! WOOT! Then the Australian choir performed, all girls, WOOT, lol! The day ended on a high note, lol!

Movie Review: Transformers

Based on the historic saga of the Transformers franchise, this new movie re-popularises the whole franchise. This movie is rather different from the very first cartoon series, locating the story in present day Earth, instead of in the future. The vehicles have also changed. For example, Optimus Prime is now a trailer cab instead of a firetruck and Bumblebee is now a Camaro instead of a VW Beetle. The story is also different as in the original cartoon, the Autobots crashed into Earth 4 million years ago. In the new movie, Bumblebee was the only Autobot on Earth, signalling to the rest of the team to come to Earth later on.

This exciting action-packed, wheel-grinding, metal-manupilating motion picture tells the compelling saga of the Transformers, giant sentient beings from a distant planet who are able to disguise themselves as anything they desire, whether it be a car, plane or even a radio. Locked in battle for an energy source, known as the All Spark, hidden on Earth. This energy source is capable of creating Transformers from any electrical appliance. The mighty Autobots must band together with Earth's soldiers to trump the notorious Decepticons, who are determined to take over the universe with the power of the All Spark.

The movie has cool visual and sound effects, which make it a great movie.

The movie's credit song is Linkin Park's 'What I've Done', which fits the movie well.

Duration: 2 and a half hours

Rating: PG 13

The Return Of The Punisher

First of all, I apologise for me not posting anything for the past 1 and a half weeks due to a Trojan, the same one that hit me the last time! Windows Vista sucks! Has Bill Gates gone mad when he released it? Curse that son of a computer virus! My father has restored my computer to its former glory (but my computer is laggier than ever). So, expect me to be active again.
